Pros and Cons – Acai Berry Diet

I’m sure you’ve heard all of the weight loss talk being said about the now world famous acai berry.  People from all over are raving about this new superfood and how it has helped them lose weight or improve their health in some remarkable way.  Surprisingly, it’s hard to find anything negative being said about this tiny purple berry.  This article discusses the pros and cons-acai berry diet.

Pros:

The acai berry has many benefits that I don’t know where to start.  First of all, it brings about a vast improvement to the health of any person who takes it regularly.  To get the benefits of this one fruit, you would have to eat a combination of many other fruits, vegetables, and other supplements.  But the acai berry alone contains multiple nutrients that our bodies need.

It contains many components that not only helps our bodies to fight diseases, but in some cases, could even prevent them.  The University of Florida in lab study showed acai killed 86% of leukemia cancer cells. 

It gives your body a complete flush and cleanse and then continues to keep it healthy when taken regularly.  It is simply amazing how much healthier a person becomes after taking the acai berry.

It helps you lose weight and build muscle.  It contains antioxidants that fight against free radicals and a wide array of vitamins and minerals.  Its antioxidants are a prime element in helping our body to combat aging skin, eyes, and other primary organs.

Cons:

While the cons are few and far between, let’s face it: nothing is ever perfect.  So let’s get to the “cons” part of the pros and cons acai berry diet.

The cons of the acai berry diet is that the berry itself rots quickly.  Most fruits last at least a few days after being picked, but the acai berry becomes ineffectual and spoiled after only 12 hours.  This means that you aren’t likely to get it fresh without traveling to the Amazon rainforests of Brazil.  

So chances are, you are going to have to consume the acai berry in the form of a drink (juice) or a supplement.  The good part about this is that it tastes great.  It has a hint of a chocolate taste mixed with the usual berry flavor which gives it an indulgent flavor.  The bad part about this is that some companies do not practice the proper procedure for preserving the berry and yet they still put their ineffective product to the market on the market in order to make a quick buck.

Don’t let this sway you from trying nature’s superfood.  As you can see from these pros and cons acai berry diet – the good far outweighs the bad, and there are many more good, potent products out there than there are ineffective ones.
